| Market Your Capabilities to Springmakers, Spring Users and other SMIHQ.ORG Visitors SMI invites its members to enhance their directory listings by adding 50 Key Words to their individual profiles that are available to the public and through the members-only section of www.smihq.org. By enhancing your company profile on the SMI Web site, you can give visitors more detailed information about your products and services than a simple Product Category letter (I = testers, R = wire, etc.). SMI averaged 353 individual visits and 728 page hits per day to its Web site during the period between Oct. 7 and Dec. 6, 2006, for example. About a quarter of all page hits focused on the public directory of SMI members, a search engine where visitors can locate members by company name, location, product category, quality certification or Key Word. By adding a 50-word description to your directory listing, you can make it easy for springmakers, spring users and other Web site visitors to find your company when they perform a Key Word search of the directory. (SMI reserves the right to edit copy in the case of promotional fluff and unsubstantiated claims.) Your listing should include Key Words that potential customers might type into the search engine to find the specific product or service they seek. Your enhanced directory listing will appear in the public and members-only sections of the SMI online search-engine directory. The directory is also available in PDF format for printing, and your 50-word description remains on paper for potential customers.
