INSTRUCTOR: Dr. Laura Helmrich-Rhodes, CSP, SMI Regulatory Compliance Consultant, will be teaching this class. She has taught machine guarding as a part of her teaching assignments at Indiana University of PA where she is an Associate Professor. Dr. Rhodes is a Board Certified Safety Professional in Comprehensive Practice and has decades of industrial loss control experience.
NOTE: This information will be presented using Federal OSHA and consensus standards. State OSHA regulations will be similar but may be more stringent. It is the employer’s responsibility to identify and select the safeguard necessary to protect employees and others in the work area, as well as provide appropriate training in safe work practices. Knowing when and how to properly safeguard machinery can reduce or eliminate the potential for accidents and injuries.
Helpful Hints for Handling an OSHA Inspection Registration Form
This webinar will give guidance on how to prepare for an OSHA inspection. How inspections are generated and a likely scenario will be shared, along with guidance on how to improve your potential for positive outcomes. Participants will develop a list of materials to have on hand and begin to plan for a potential visit. A list of sample clickable documents will be included in the bibliographic references.
