Agenda
During
this information-packed 45-minute session participants will:
  • Develop a deeper insight into the metallurgical fundamentals of spring materials.
  • Review the importance of proper processing of spring materials, such as Plating, Patenting, Stress Relieving and Passivation.
  • Identify the differences between, and importance of, critical spring materials.
  • Discuss the importance of key fabrication variables and spring strengthening mechanisms.
  • Develop a better understanding of Hydrogen Embrittlement and how to avoid it.
This seminar has been updated with some new material since it was last presented in 2005.
How it Works
Don't leave the conference room, because now you and your staff can participate in an multimedia online seminar that will help you assess and avoid spring failures.
The multimedia presentation is "Webcast," with audio connections by conference call. Price is set per computer terminal, so you can have as many people as possible clustered around the screen.
With the registration fee of $165/terminal (not per person), participants will receive the appropriate handouts, and telephone numbers and access codes to log onto the broadcast prior to the actual seminar.
Participants have the same ability to ask questions and develop a real-time give-and-take information session as if they were in the same room as the instructor, even though they may be hundreds of miles away.
Ask questions and take notes. This virtual seminar will save your company hundreds of dollars in travel expenses and time.

Instructor Luke Zubek P.E.
The online seminar will be conducted by Luke Zubek PE
, SMI's technical director. An engineer at Ispat Inland Steel for 10 years, Zubek's education includes a Master's in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Cancellation Policy
The enrollment fee (minus a $20 nonrefundable registration charge) may be refunded up to May 30, 2006
SMI reserves the right to cancel the program by May 30, 2006 if an insufficient number of people register. In case of cancellation, SMI will refund all deposits.
