Two-day off-site courses for beginning and intermediate spring designers, as well as shopfloor personnel. Offered at various locations and dates, the courses cover design parameters; stress, fatigue life and tensile strength; the importance of rate on spring design; resolving spring problems; and how spring design is affected by temperature, corrosion, conductivity, physical properties and materials. Workshops utilize SMI spring design software, and classrooms are set up with PC workstations for each participant.
