Washable, Wireless Computer Keyboards

Testing Systems

Instron Corp. has designed a compression-only 300KN machine for testing large springs used on locomotives. This machine can be used to load test the springs, ensuring they are satisfactory to re-install during rebuild of locomotives. It is designed for spring diameters up to 13.75 in. (350 mm) and loads that can reach 67,000 lbf. (300 kN).

The company has also updated its materials testing accessories catalog. The 450-page catalog details a range of accessories to enhance testing systems, including grips, extensometers, fixtures, environmental chambers, load cells, software and alignment systems.

Control and Safety Base Module

Fortress Interlocks has introduced an AS-interface (AS-i) control and safety base module for its eGard system, enabling eGard to be simply connected to an “AS-i Safety at Work” control network in minutes. Preservation Line

Wheelabrator has designed an Autoblast Preservation Line for Delta Steel, a provider of large sheets of steel for the ship building industry.
