Ask the Expert

If you are an SMI member or a company whose primary business is making springs, you are eligible to use the Technical Help Service free of charge.

If springmaking is not your company's primary business, you may be charged a consulting fee to use this service.

Directions:

1. Click on "Ask A Question," below.

2. Type in your question regarding spring design, materials or springmaking processes. To receive an answer, be sure to include your name, company, complete address, phone, fax and e-mail.

3. Click "Send."

Once your question has been received, the SMI office will send an acknowledgement of your question. (TBA), SMI technical director, will contact you with an answer within a few days.
